about the project
Dhalaan Mall is a ground-level commercial development designed to serve as a modern retail hub within Mogadishu’s urban environment. Though limited in height, the mall delivers a spacious and flexible shopping experience through smart spatial planning and intuitive design.
Design Approach:
We initiated the project with a focus on functionality and customer flow. Key features of the layout include:
- Modular retail units with high visibility shop fronts
- Wide corridors to encourage foot traffic
- Designated service zones for utilities and logistics
- Logical spatial zoning to support multiple tenant types
The plan maximizes leasable space while ensuring accessibility and ease of navigation for both tenants and customers.
Visualization & Aesthetic Concept
To complement the floor plan, we created 3D renderings that visualize the mall’s clean facade, multiple entry points, branding areas, and exterior material choices. These visuals communicate a clear retail identity that’s both professional and welcoming — elevating the appeal of a single-story commercial center.
Project Outcome
Dhalaan Mall demonstrates that even compact, single-story developments can offer strong commercial value when guided by thoughtful design and clear visual communication. The result is a scalable, cost-effective solution for urban retail in Somalia.
